This month we braved the Vegas heat for Black Hat USA 2022, celebrated ZeroFox's IPO and merger with IDX, a Forgepoint company, welcomed four more security leaders to our now 80+ member Advisory Council and completed our 2022 Summer Associate Program which provides holistic exposure and hands-on skills development in cyber VC. It was wonderful to reunite with so many of you in person after these challenging few years. We hope to see you again soon.

On August 4th, ZeroFox, an enterprise software-as-a-service leader in external cybersecurity, began trading on Nasdaq as “ZFOX”. Its public listing – the first security IPO in 2022 – marks the successful completion of its previously announced business combination with L&F Acquisition Corp, a special purpose acquisition company, and IDX, a Forgepoint portfolio company. Carolyn Crandall, CMO & Chief Security Advocate at Cymulate. Carolyn is a high impact executive with over 30 years of experience building new markets and successful enterprise infrastructure companies. She has a demonstrated track record of effectively taking pre-IPO companies through to multibillion dollar sales and has held leadership positions at Attivo Networks, Cisco, Juniper Networks, Nimble Storage, Riverbed, and Seagate.

Kirstjen Nielsen, President, Lighthouse Strategies. Kirstjen works across the globe as a speaker, author and thought leader addressing critical global security issues, including emerging threats, resilience, and cybersecurity. Among other roles and accomplishments, she served as Secretary of Homeland Security, White House Principal Deputy Chief of Staff, founder and President of Sunesis Consulting and Lighthouse Strategies, General Counsel at Civitas Group, and as Special Assistant to the President on the Homeland Security Council.

Teresa Shea, former head of CODEX at Raytheon. Teresa previously served as EVP of Technology and director of Cyber-Reboot at In-Q-Tel, after a distinguished 32-year career with the NSA where she held several leadership assignments culminating as director of Signals Intelligence. Teresa served as Board Member for Recorded Future and Board advisor to the Virginia Tech Hume Center and the MITRE Corporation. She currently serves on the Georgia Institute of Technology Board and the Intelligence National Security Alliance Board. 

Timothy Kosiba, CEO of Bracket f, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Redacted. He is directly responsible for growing the cybersecurity business within the federal community, domestically and internationally. In December 2021, Tim retired from the NSA with 33 years of federal service. Tim reached the most senior civilian levels of NSA while assigned as Chief of Tailored Access Operations and Deputy Commander of NSA Georgia.
